Celebrate the creativity and musical imagination of tomorrow’s composers at the Very Young Composer Showcase! This inspiring event highlights original works created by local 4th and 5th grade students who participated in the Very Young Composers Project — a two-week immersive program where young musicians learn to craft their own music from the ground up with guidance from experienced music teachers and UW-Stevens Point student mentors.

During the Showcase, audiences will hear original compositions performed live by skilled musicians, giving each young creator the thrill of hearing their music brought to life onstage. This unique performance represents the culmination of a journey in creativity, exploration, and musical discovery, as students apply their newfound understanding of melody, rhythm, and sound to pieces entirely of their own design.
