Megan Yang, piano

2025 Jenkins Family Young Artist Concerto Competition Winner

Megan Yang has studied piano for over twelve years with Tom Yang, her dad, as her primary teacher. Her other piano teachers have included Ann Marie Novak, Carolyn Frazier and Molly Roseman at the American Suzuki Institute. Megan has earned distinction at the WSMA District Auditions and has been a room winner and an honorable mention at WMTA Badger Piano Auditions. In 2024, she was selected as the winner for Badger North East regionals and was also a finalist for the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition. Megan has also played violin for over ten years and has studied with David Becker, Oscar Soler, Michelle Wentzel and currently with Aber Suzuki Center teacher Pat D’Ercole. As a violinist, she has been involved in the Central Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra Program since 2019. A talented athlete, Megan is also a member of the Iola Winter Sports Club ski team and her high school track team.
